Ehsan is a clinician-scientist with 20 years of experience spanning clinical practice, academia, and the life science industry. He completed his MD in Iran before pursuing postgraduate training as a Clinical Research Fellow in endocrinology and obtaining a Ph.D. in obesity in Singapore. During this time, his research interests were cantered on investigating ethnic disparities in the interplay between adiposity and insulin resistance, and immune-metabolic perturbation associated with obesity. His later professional expertise encompasses the design and implementation of clinical studies aimed at preventing and managing cardiometabolic diseases, acquired through his tenure in R&D positions at Nestlé, Novo Nordisk, and AstraZeneca. Currently, he serves as a study physician in late-stage cardiovascular, renal, and metabolism clinical development at the R&D hub of AstraZeneca in Gothenburg. In his present capacity, he contributes to the conceptualization, execution, and dissemination of clinical trials for the management of cardiovascular diseases. Ehsan has lived and worked in various countries, including Iran, Australia, Singapore, Denmark, and most recently Sweden. Throughout these experiences, he has accrued considerable expertise in navigating diverse business cultures.
